After launching Acer Aspire 6920 Gemstone blue laptop, Acer has unveiled one more notebook in the Gemstone blue range, called Aspire 8920G.
The cost of the Acer Aspire 8920G Gemstone blue notebook will be around $1700 approx. Rs. 68,000. No word on availability.
Acer has just announced their plans for launching portable solution for notebook platform as a desktop replacement. The new platform is named as Acer Blue.
There are 2 models planed to be released within next 45 days or so in USA. The aspire 6920g which has a 16-inch display and the aspire 8920g with an 18.4-inch display supporting 16:9 wide screen full 1080p HD support !!
The mightiest between these 2 are the acer aspire 8920ga, which comes under centrino pro platform with 45 nm intel core 2 duo processors.
The features of the 8920G include 18.4-inch Full HD CineCrystal LCD screen with 1920×1080 resolution, six integrated Dolby Home Theater technology-based speakers that includes 10W tube-style Acer Tuba CineBass subwoofer along with powerful audio technologies – CineSurround, Tuba CineBass booster and True5.1 output.
This stylish and elegant laptop comes with interior and exterior lighting effects and a Holographic 3D cover. It also has an optional digital TV Tuner, on-board Blu-Ray disc drive, 8ms response time and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio.
Powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processors and the mobile Intel PM965 Express Chipset, the laptop comes with a choice of graphics options from either the NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GS graphics engine with up to 1280 MB of TurboCache (512 MB of dedicated GDDR3 VRAM, up to 768 MB of shared system memory) or the NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS with up to 1280 MB of TurboCache (512 MB of dedicated GDDR2 VRAM, up to 768 MB of shared system memory).
