The Intel® Desktop Board D5400XS is a ground-breaking Intel® Dual Socket Extreme Desktop Platform. This Extreme Desktop board supports the following processors:
· One or two 45nm Intel® Core™2 Extreme processors QX9775 in an LGA771 socket with a 1600 MHz system bus
· One or two 45nm & 65nm Intel® Xeon® processors in an LGA771 socket with a 1600, 1333, or 1066 MHz system bus
The sockets on this desktop board are LGA771, however the processor thermal solutions required must be designed for the LGA775 layout. LGA771 processor thermal solutions are not compatible with this board.
No processor thermal solution is provided with the Intel® Core™2 Extreme processors QX9775. It is the responsibility of the customer to acquire appropriate processor thermal solutions to handle 150 watts Thermal Design Power (TDP).
